Ohmigosh! I'm published!

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 21, 2008, 8:16 AM
So this weekend I have some exciting news. Guess what? I have, like, seven tons of homework! Ugggghhh. My teachers rose up as one mighty being and flooded me with stuff. And I have to finish it all. I mean, of course I have to finish it; it's due on Monday. It's not like I'm not going do it, oh never mind.

Anyways, today I'm going to Shelburne Falls to be part of a reading from a literary journal called The Equinox.
I submitted a short story, (a page was the limit and boy, did I have a hard time with that...) and they accepted me! Today is the release date of the book and so I'm going to be reading my piece with others who were accepted. I'm a little nervous, wish me luck!

Where I've been...

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 25, 2008, 6:27 PM
Well a few people might want to know why I've been inactive in the past three weeks. I was out in the great Southwest! My family got it into their heads that they wanted to CAMP in the DRY HEAT. Ugggghhhh. but I think that part came later...

Here is a complete list of where I went so I don't have to explain it fifty-million-times.

We flew into Phoenix and then rented a car and hauled our luggage tooooo (in order):

- Canyon de Chey, Arizona
- Mesa Verde, Colorado
- the San Juan Mountains, Colorado
- Pegosa Springs, Colorado
- Silverton/Ouray/Telluride, Colorado
- Escalante, Utah
- Moab (Arches National Park), Utah
- Bryce Canyon, Utah
- Grande Canyon (North Rim), Arizona
- Sedona, Arizona

Then back to Phoenix for the return trip. The whole shebang took three weeks.

I can't believe it's the Last Day. I just can't believe it!! In a matter of hours, I will become a member of NHS thus leaving any trace of the child Mollie behind, stuck to the fly paper of my past. I'm almost a freshman!

But as excited as I am to go to high school, I'm going to bawl my eyes out today as I leave all my teachers from the last three years. T_T

Also, this is when my friends are really defined. I have to choose who I'm really committed to in the next few months.
Ehhhhh . scary.

AH! I have to go now, school is calling.

Away for a few...

Ahhhh... so tired!

We just got back from New Jersey. We went there for the unveiling of my grandparents' headstone. During our stay we slept at my mom's friend's house. She really cool and laid back, a little neat-freakish though. Her children introduced me to...

DUN DUN DUN

the Wii.

Oh Emm Ghod. I LOVE Wiis now!! They're so cool!! Arg, I really want my own now...

Anyway, the ceremony was beautiful. It started to rain and thunder literally as we started the ceremony, but we had umbrellas and it made the tone more dramatic. My mom had hired a rabbi to say the prayers. I could feel my grandparents next to me and by the end of the ceremony, it felt like I could let go and they were at peace. I cried.

Like I said, it was a beautiful service. I miss them.

What a stupid bunch of coconuts...

April vacation! Somewhere out there, the person who made April vacation is getting alotta love from me right now. Nothing I have to do, nowhere I have to go... seriously, this is the life!

It's wierd, a few minutes ago my neighbor came over to ask where his sister was (she usually comes over to play with my sis) and he kept looking nervous and shooting glances at my chest. Well this was very awkward because I spent most of my childhood with this guy but it kind of tickles me to think that finally someone's noticed I have boobs. What's the point of having boobs if no one notices them? I 'effing deal with these floppy coconuts everyday, the least someone could do was notice them! But double-u-slash-ee. Whatev's. My neighbor's not my type anyway. Girls, big boobs are not fun. You might think you want them but- no. They are annoying and heavy and make it hard to talk to people and stop you from jumping or bending down without worry. Why, world? WHY?
