Devious Journal Entry

Heyheyhey all you lovely peoples.

I need to build up awesome wins that I can flaunt to colleges in the upcoming years. Does anyone know about any (traditional) art competitions/contests/something that gives you recognition for your art? If possible western Massachusetts would be awesome. Also, any advice on how to get the courage to pursue art in college/how to pursue fine art as a career? Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks ya'll!

P.S. I hope everyone enjoyed Halloween! My friends and I went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight. I was devirginized on the stage with my friend and it was altogether a different experience from just watching the movie. I loved it. Anyway, I hope no one ate poisoned candy and no one had too much fun. Enjoy the buzz for as long as the candy lasts. :)

Sorry everyone, my schedule has been craaazy homework-wise. I just scanned in a lot of doodles I've done in school. I'll try to post some tonight and more eventually. Wish me luck; sophmore year is harder than it looks.

Summer Babble

Mon Jul 27, 2009, 5:20 PM
So it's sumsumsummer! I love summer almost all the time. It's not my favorite season (because of the heat and mosquitos) but it's time off and bare feet-land.

On Tuesday I'm going to be going to an artsy camp at Deerfield Acadamy (DASAC). I'm looking forward to it so much because my sister attended first session and loved it. Most of my friends were in first session and I'm in second so it looks like I'll be in "new-people-make-friends-mode" for at least the first week. But that's okay, I usually cope. I'm mostly looking forward to singing and drawing and randomness so it doesn't really bother me that I don't know anyone. I'll at least know the pastels, pencils and pianos...

What are you doing this summer? Any long trips to share with us?

As you may have noticed, I updated quite a bit yesterday and not all of them are scanner quality. The reason is that most of the drawings I have from that art class are WAY too big for our little business scanner. So, I had to photograph each of them on our picnic table and that's why most of the pictures have a wood "trim" around the outside. :D Sorry 'bout that.

Prez Obama!

Hello, folks. I don't have long (I'm on a school computer... :P) so what did you think of this HISTORIC EVENT today? Please comment!

I swear, I was tearing up in the little theater where we watched the inauguration. Who'da thunk forty years ago, that a black man would sit in the presidential office? Not many people for sure. Coming from an age where a black boy and a white girl could not share a water fountain; I think this is such an amazing development. And adding to that racial symbol, this man's got IDEAS! Ideas to change America and the bigots in government. Ideas to spur peace and stop spending money we don't have. This country could be great with the right ruler and I fervently hope that that's where we'll be by the time four years come to a close. Peashout peoples.
